The elegant esplanade of the French Riviera, better known as the Promenade des Anglais, is a meeting point for the residents of Nice who love to enjoy the city, skating on rollerblades, like in California, or sitting on a typical blue chaise lounge.
Nice is an exuberant party scene: from Carnival with the Battle of the Flowers to the Printemps des Poètes, from the Festival de Musique Sacrèe (Festival of Sacred Music) to the Nice Jazz Festival. Don't miss the various architectural sites, such as the building of the library, TÍte au Carré, a stylized human head with square likenesses. Obligatory visits include: Museums  of Marc Chagall and Matisse, the Gallery Lafayette, the Russian Church of St. Nicholas, founded during the Belle Epoque. At sunset, when the sculptures of Jaume Plensa light up in tones of vermillion, the best thing is a tasty pan-bagnat sandwich in the bustling Place Massèna. Finally, you can't do without a trip to the hills to admire the patchwork of roofs and streets of the old city, and enjoy the show: Nice by night, in evening dress, is superb.
Due to the works of the City on the new Tram line, access by car from the Boulevard Dubouchage to the 12 Boulevard Victor Hugo will be from the Rue Longchamp then follow the signs ''Hôtels Bd V.Hugo''  through the Rue du Marechal Joffre and finally take the Rue Eugène Emmanuel.
